Elizabeth was off to a rough start being scared by being close to the Haunted Hotel, the Mr. & Mrs. Incredible characters, and the Monsters, Inc. ride. She rebounded well with some extended time in “A Bug’s Land” riding the caterpillar train and balloon ride. Later in the day, we twice rode “Mulholland Madness” a single car rollercoaster (her favorite ride).
In the afternoon and evening we watched the parade of characters. She was delighted to see "all the princesses"... Ariel, Cinderella and Snow White. When Ursula the 20 ft long Octopus / mean lady character came by she scrambled behind Karen and crouched down as her whole body shook with fear. She had a similar response to the life size rhinoceres that was a part of the Lion King exhibit.
The rest of the afternoon and evening we rode more rides such as the Winnie the Pooh Honey Pot ride (three times), Autopia (Elizabeth got to drive) and "It's a small world" (once with Karenand I, once with Val and Brian).
We left around 9pm, then stopped on our way out of the park to watch the nightly fireworks which were better than any fireworks I have seen before. Elizabeth intently watched all the fireworks, but after going full throttle all day, she fell asleep 30 seconds after they ended in the car.
